Frith Grange Campsite

The District owns a campsite called Frith Grange.  Click here to make a booking.

It’s in Frith Lane, London NW7 1PT – very near to Mill Hill East Underground Station (on the Northern Line) and easy to reach by road from the M25, M1 and A1.

The facilities include:

Cyril Allen Hut – a general purpose space, great for meetings and wet weather game space. There is a large hall, two small meeting rooms (one equipped with a few Internet connected PCs) a large kitchen and a toilet.

Lodge – a residential block with 8 bunk rooms (each containing 4 beds) along with a kitchen, dining/meeting area and two toilets.

Crew Hut – a smaller building with two bunk rooms (6 beds and 4 beds). It is ideal for small adult, Network or Explorer groups and is fully self contained with a shower, toilet and kitchen. There is also an eating/meeting space.

Activities

Air Rifle Shooting – Indoors

We can run shooting indoors if you book the Cyril Allen Hut at the same time. This is fantastic as the building is heated when it’s cold but also we have 6 shooting positions not 4, so larger groups get a bit more time shooting.
Suitable for Cubs and older
Sessions are 1 hour
12 – 18 participants recommended on a session

Air Rifle Shooting – Outdoors

Aside from the very popular shooting club for Scouts and Explorers this is an activity you can book by the hour too. It’s available outside using the range but please note that archery and shooting use the same range at the moment so we can’t run both at the same time!
Suitable for Cubs and older
Sessions are 1 hour
12 – 16 participants recommended on a session

Archery

Recently we have invested over £1,800 on new equipment and training a team of instructors.  Please note that archery and shooting use the same range at the moment so we can’t run both at the same time!
Suitable for all ages and abilities
Sessions are 1 hour
12 – 16 participants recommended on a session

Indoor rotating climbing wall

The climbing wall is suitable for all ages and is self led so you don’t need an instructor with you. The wall is controlled by a computer and sensors that stop the wall rotating if the people climbing get in a dangerous spot.
Suitable for all ages and abilities
Sessions are 1 hour
10 – 20 participants recommended on a session
