15th Hendon

Note: The following has been prepared from an article that appeared in the 1957 Hendon Local Association booklet that marked 50 years of Scouting. It was prepared at their invitation by Frank Griffiths, assisted by Lionel Siret and Jack Le Fort.

In 1951, Mr R S C P Noble formed the 15th Hendon as an open Group for all Christian denominations. The Troop meets at the Church Hall of the Roman Catholic Church of The Sacred Heart, Mill Hill Broadway.

This Group is intended to be experimental in operating with non-Roman Catholic Scouters and mainly Roman Catholic Boys.

—————–

According to the District Directory, dated June 1965, the above-mentioned Group is still in existence, although their meeting place is simply given as Church Hall, corner of Flower Lane, Mill Hill NW7. The colour of their scarf was yellow and white halves. The GSM was T H Proud, the SM was Martin Gratte and the CM was Mrs L Dand.
