27th World Scout Jamboree
A World Scout Jamboree is a large-scale international gathering organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The World Scout Jamboree is the largest international youth festival that attracts tens of thousands of young people and leaders from 170 member countries once every four years. The event involves various outdoor activities, educational programs, and opportunities for Scouts to learn about different cultures. World Scout Jamborees provide a unique experience for young people involved in Scouting to interact with their peers from diverse backgrounds on a global scale.
The Jamboree’s programme is packed with a variety of educational, recreational, and community service activities, including workshops, team-building exercises, and outdoor pursuits. These experiences help Scouts to build a strong sense of global citizenship and to foster a deeper understanding of different cultures, ultimately contributing to a more peaceful and connected world.
The site is in Silkeborg Municipality.
The 27th World Jamboree will be the second time that Denmark has hosted the event; the 2nd World Scout Jamboree was held there in 1924.
