Old uniforms wanted!

Date: 23rd May 2024 Author: Joshua Thomas

From the 8th Barnet:

Got any old uniform hanging around, bored and unloved? 8th Barnet Scouts would be delighted to hear from you. The group has made contact with a Scout group in Scotland whose members just cannot afford uniform. With a kind donation of uniform from 1st Finchley, 8th Barnet Scouts recently sent off their first parcel of Cub and Beaver t-shirts. To raise the money for postage, the Scouts held a sponsored Sportathon, collectively doing more than 100 hours of sport, and have raised enough money to send more parcels to groups that need uniform. If you have used uniform hanging around, any section, 8th Barnet would be glad to hear from you so they can send it off to enjoy many more Scout adventures. Email 8thBarnetScouts@gmail.com

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
