New information forms

Joining forms and guidance have been updated in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and to support changes made by the government’s Disclosure and Barring Service.

The Adult Information Form is designed to help you to collect the information needed to add new members aged over 18 onto Compass. The downloadable Reference Form has also been updated.

The ID Checking Form supports identity checking of adults undertaking a role in Scouts in England, Wales, and British Scouting Overseas.

The Young Person Information Form provides a template to support your local joining process, and is designed to help you collect information about young people who are joining Scouts. This information should be retained in line with your Scout Group or District’s Data Protection and Retention Policy. Information and guidance is available online.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
