Gone Home – Martin How

Date: 23rd Jan 2024 Author: Andrew Rush

We were very sad to hear that our former District Commissioner, Martin How, has died.

Martin began his Scouting as a Wolf Cub in 1952 and has been active locally since moving to Finchley in 1975.

In 1988 he was awarded a long overdue Medal of Merit and in 2003 he was awarded the Silver Acorn.  He ceased active Scouting in 2015, after he received a 50 years Long Service Award.

You can read more of Martin’s very interesting biography here.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Joan, Martin’s wife of nearly 50 years.

Rest In Peace, Martin.
