Gone Home – Andrew Wellbeloved

Date: 26th Apr 2024 Author: Andrew Rush

It is with deep sadness that I share with you the news that Andrew Wellbeloved passed away earlier today, Friday 26th April 2024, following a short illness.

Andrew was a true Scouter, having held many Scouting positions over many years, primarily in roles within Greater London North including that of County Commissioner, County Chair and County President. He was also a nominated County representative on the TSA Council. A true gentleman who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Our thoughts go out to all of his friends and family during this very difficult time.

More information will follow over the coming days.

Yours in Scouting

Andrew Donn

County Lead Volunteer, Greater London North

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
