District Shooting Competition 2022

The District Shooting Competition has been booked over 2 weekends – Sunday 20th February and Sunday 13th March – with half hour sessions running from 10.00 till 17:00. It will be held at Frith Grange Campsite on the indoor and outdoor ranges.

This year we will be also running a Pistol Competition alongside the Rifle Shooting.

Entry will be £2.00 per round.

Rules

  1. All participants must be 10 years of age or older
  2. All participants must have completed the Intro and Safety course run at Frith.  This can be booked as a session prior to your competition round, (see booking form)
  3. Only one entry per member in each discipline will be accepted
  4. All Rifles and Pistols will be supplied by the District Shooting Club
  5. The competition will be split into under 14s and over 14s
  6. The competition will be of 3 rounds of 5 at a distance of 10m for rifle and 6yds for pistol with the 2 highest in each round going towards the competition score.  In the case of a draw the third target will be scored
  7. Participants will be given 10 minutes to setup and practice and then 15 minutes to complete their 3 scoring rounds
  8. The range will be closed during the competition so please arrive 15 minutes prior to booking in and wait to be called in by the Range Officer

Parents may stay and watch if they wish to.
