Concert on the Green

Date: 13th Jun 2023 Author: Andrew Rush

Concert on the Green is a live music fundraising event that I am putting on. Just like last year I am fundraising for the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea.

The money I raise is split amongst young people, mostly helping those in poorer countries, who otherwise might not be able to afford it, to get to the World Scout Jamboree to represent their country and share their culture.

I am lucky enough to have been selected as part of the group going to South Korea to represent UK Scouting and meeting Scouts from almost every country and experiencing a little piece of their cultures.

The show will be a few hours of live music with some brilliant performers mainly from Chancellor’s School. My friends who I have asked to perform are very talented and create a brilliant atmosphere perfect for a summer evening.

The show is open to all ages and will cost £6 per person or £4 if you arrive with a Scout scarf. Tickets are available online at concertonthegreen.co.uk or at the door on the evening.

You can bring your own picnic and drinks to enjoy on the green and we will also have some cold refreshments available.

The concert is family friendly so suitable for all ages. Last year this was such a fun event with over 150 people in attendance. Hopefully we have even more people than last year to create a magical evening.

Thanks
