NSRA Youth Shooting Course

Between: 18th January 2025 - 19th January 2025 Location: Sections: Adult Volunteer

The District Team has booked an NSRA Youth shooting course for the weekend of 18th – 19th Jan 2025. The two day course will allow leaders to gain the NSRA Youth Proficiency qualification to run both 6 and 10-meter Air Rifle ranges at any Scout shooting range.

The course will run from 9am to 5pm each day and is an assessed qualification to gain the firearms certificate.

There are 12 places available and the cost will be £50.00. We may be able to subsidize this from District Funds or a Grant from Youth Barnet to bring this down. Unfortunately, under the Fire Arms Act, members must be 21 or over to attend.

The payment is for the 2-day course, course literature, and 5-year membership of the NSRA.

We are offering this to Barnet District members first before the invite goes out to the County.

If you are interested in gaining this qualification please send your Name, Group, and contact email/number to:

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
