District Camp 2025

Between: 20th June 2025 - 22nd June 2025 Location: Phasels Wood Activity Centre Sections: Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, District

Our District Camp will take place over the weekend of the 20th – 22nd June 2025.

We have booked the Lodge for the whole weekend, along with the Main Field for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, and Leaders, we will be camping from Friday evening through to Sunday. Beavers can stay all weekend but for those who do not wish their Beavers to attend
all weekend, they can attend for the day on Saturday.

We will arrange with Phasels for all Groups to have access to erect tentage from 13.00hrs on Thursday 19th through to 12pm on Friday 20th. Each Group will know in good time exactly where their site is. It is intended that all sites will be marked out by 10pm on Wednesday 18th.

Before the camp each Group attending will be given the registration point and site number.

Beavers will be catered for by their Groups.

Theme
Countries of the World.

Sites can be decorated, and we will have prizes for the best sites/Groups. On Saturday evening we will have a parade, so you can all show
off your fabulous designs, have a flag for that country and also we will be having an international taster after the parade, where you will be asked to bring a taster of food from your country for about 45 people.

Activities
We have booked a variety of activities.

The on and off site activities that are available will run on Saturday from 9.15am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4.45pm; Sunday 9.15am – 12.30pm

***Note that specific parental consent should be obtained for archery, air rifles and any other activity that might need them.

Listed below are the activities that we have asked for. We will be looking at all of the activities for links to badges that the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers can obtain.

Activity times may be changed by the site.

  • In addition, we have planned the following:
    Flag break on Saturday @ 8.15am
  • Flag down on Sunday @ 2pm
  • Leaders’ Quiz Saturday
  • Camp Fire on Saturday evening
  • Wide Game for all sections
  • Silent Disco
  • Leaders’ Briefing will be held daily in the Rowallan
  • Information points
  • Parade of the Countries

Pricing
An ID bracelet will be given to each section also for offsite activities, everyone will be given b Badge unique to the camp and these will be distributed on Friday evening upon payment of camp fees. Fees can also be paid in advance.

The charges will be as follows:

  • £30.00 for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers who are camping with their Groups for the weekend
  • £15.00 for youth Day Visitors
  • £10.00 Leaders/Helpers for the weekend
  • £30.00 for Beavers coming just on Saturday/Sunday and all activities

We are offering a deposit scheme; the deposit will be deducted from your final invoice.

  • £100 deposit for 0 – 10 people
  • £200 11 – 20 people
  • £300 21 – 40 people
  • £500 41 – 80 people
  • £750 81 people & over

If you are attending, please let us know what your Country will be so that we can make sure that it is allocated to your Group.
