Cubs’ Night Hike

Date: 9th March 2024 Location: Frith Grange Campsite Sections: Cub Scouts

Saturday 9th March 2024 (weather permitting)
Start times: You will be allocated an arrival time between 6.15 and 7.30pm
Finish time: 3 hours after your start time or 10pm

A challenge hike for Cubs which will cover a distance of approximately 2 miles, mostly along park paths with a little walking along pavements and across fields. There will also be challenges for Cubs to complete along the way.

 

Walkers should wear warm clothes, waterproof coat, hat, scarf, gloves and Group scarf. Walking boots or very sturdy shoes are advised as part of the route can be very muddy.

Wellington boots with two long pairs of socks will also be permitted. Teams will need a torch, pens, drinks, ‘emergency rations’ and a first aid kit.

Teams will be of up to 6 Cubs and each will need to have a DBS checked adult with them.

You are free to enter 2 teams, if you would like more then please let me know and I will see if we have room.

Please can you let me know by Monday 28th February if you will be entering. The cost is £2 per Cub.
