Scouts of the World Award Discovery

Are you 18-25? Come and join us at beautiful Gilwell Park for our SOWA Discovery. This weekend will give you the skills and knowledge to begin your Scouts of the World Award!

The Scouts of the World Award is all about delivering a project that makes the world a better place and it is one of Scouting’s top awards. Attending a SOWA Discovery is the compulsory first step to begin your award.

The important details!

Where?
Gilwell Park, Chingford, London, E4 7QW

When?
Friday 26th September. Arrive between 7pm and 8pm. We will start at 8:15pm. If you are later than this then that’s no problem, we can accommodate you.
Finish Sunday 28th September by 2pm.

How much?
£13 which covers two nights camping and delivery of the Discovery.
There are additional costs for meals if you’d like to purchase any from Scout Adventures.

What will you need to bring?

  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag
  • Clothing for being outdoors (including waterproofs)
  • Toiletries
  • Torch
  • Food (if self catering)
  • Plate, bowl, mug and cutlery (if self catering)
  • Notepad and pen
  • Electronic device for project planning (optional)
