SAS meeting – Saturday 18th May

Date: 3rd May 2024 Author: Andrew Rush

Barnet’s Scout Active Support are going to meet up on Saturday 18th May, from 12.30pm to around 4.30pm in the Five Bells, East End Road, N2 0LZ

It has been suggested that whilst there we raise a glass to Martin How, so we have also invited Scouters from around the County that knew him well.

We would also like to spend time discussing ideas for activities/events and how our SAS fits in with the new transformation and changes in volunteering with Scouting.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at some point during the afternoon. Please do let me know if you can’t make it, and we’ll send you details of the discussion.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
