Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

All Explorer Scouts in Greater London North are given the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award as well as many other Scouting Awards.

You can find the basic information that you need to choose the most appropriate awards for you, get started on them and who can help you through them on the County website here.

The Chief Scout’s Platinum Award, the Chief Scout’s Diamond Award and the Queen’s Scout Award have similar requirements to the D of E Bronze, Silver and Gold awards (respectively).

If you would like to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme or are ready to move on to the next stage, speak to your unit leader, District Explorer Scout Commissioner or contact the County DofE adviser, James Barnwell.

You will need to complete an enrolment form.

Additional Residential question: Does the World Scout Jamboree count?
As a participant or contingent leader – no – because you know the people before you go. As IST (International Service Team) – yes – because you don’t know the people and meet them there.
